    Intent:

At St George's CE Primary school, we aim to provide a broad, balanced, challenging and enjoyable computing curriculum. In an increasingly digital world, there now exists a wealth of software, tools and technologies that can be used to communicate, collaborate, express ideas and create digital content. At St George’s CE Primary School, we recognise that pupils are entitled to a broad and balanced computing education with a structured, progressive, approach to learning how computer systems work, the use of IT and the skills necessary to become digitally literate and participate fully in the modern world.

    Implementation:

Through the computing curriculum, children are taught a wide range of skills which will support them in the digital world. The computing curriculum is taught in mixed-age classes and is planned in a two - year rotating cycle of topics. At the heart of every unit of work, we teach our children to be safe with technology and enable them to critically evaluate the use of technology and digitally presented information.
