    Our Vision

Maths lessons that cater for all abilities and encourage children to persevere with purposeful challenge. Children have the confidence to participate in collaborative mathematical discussions which enables them to explain their methods and self -identify misconceptions in their processes.

    Resources

In school, we use the mixed-age White Rose Maths scheme to help support our teaching of Maths.  Our KS2 children also have access to TT Rockstars which focusses on learning multiplication facts. We also have a wide range of manipulatives for children to access. These are available in every classroom and include: base tens, numicon, diennes, multilink, tens frames and many more.

    Assessment

There is a whole school approach to the teaching and assessment of Maths. A wide range of calculation strategies will be taught throughout all classes that reflect the requirements of the National Curriculum and EYFS framework. We have developed a progression of number facts that we believe need to be secured and automatic before children are able to progress to other aspects of the Maths curriculum. These are regularly assessed as part of the children's daily learning.

    Curriculum documents

As a school, we follow the White Rose mixed age planning.
