Part of Coastal Learning Partnership
We subscribe to Coram Education's PSHE and RSE scheme called SCARF. SCARF stands for Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience, Friendship. The curriculum overview reflects the way essential topics are revisited by children as they progress through the school so that learning can take place at age-appropriate levels. Every year we look forward to our visit from Harold the Giraffe and the members of the Life Education Team who visit our school. These interactive sessions are really enjoyable and they help us to make links between our learning and consider the importance of making safe and healthy choices.
Our policy is currently under review in light of the statutory changes that need to be implemented by September 2026.
Parent/Carer consultation is currently in process and feedback will be published in due course.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding PSHE and RSE during this period, please speak to Miss Howe (Deputy Headteacher and School Improvement support)
