School Uniform

School Uniform List

 

Pupils at St George’s all wear school uniform.  Sweatshirts, hoodies, T-Shirts, polo shirts, tracksuits, backpacks and reading book bags, all with school logo, can be ordered through the supplier’s website at www.brigadeuniformdirect.uk.com  

All uniform and personal belongings, including coats/hats/scarves/gloves/shoes/water bottles should be clearly named.

School Wear:

Polo shirt/Shirt

White

Trousers/Skirts/Shorts/Pinafores

Grey

School Sweatshirt/Jumper/Cardigan

Red

Summer Dress/Culottes

Red and white check dress/culottes

Shoes

Black shoes (not trainers, UGG type boots, croc style shoes, canvas slip-on shoes or flip-flops)

Socks/Tights

White, red or grey

Optional for Y5/6 only: School tie and white shirt (please refer to Brigade website)

                     

PE Kit:           

T-Shirt

PE Top in house colour (Bottle green, Purple or Royal

Blue, preferably with school logo)

Red can be worn for academic year 2024/2025 then will

be phased out

Shorts

Plain black or navy blue

Footwear

Trainers with non-marking soles

Jogging Bottoms/Leggings & Long-Sleeved top

(Jumper/Hoody)

Navy blue (jumper or hoody preferably with school logo)

PE kit to be worn to school on the day identified as your child’s class PE day.

Jewellery:   Jewellery must not be worn in school. Pupils with pierced ears should only have studs for safety and must cover or remove them for PE.

A small, named watch may be worn (not a Smart watch), but remains the responsibility of

the pupil.  This must be removed for PE/Games.

Please note that the school cannot take any responsibility for lost jewellery or watches.

 

Hair:   Longer, shoulder-length hair must be tied back at all times.

Hair bands/ribbons and clips may be worn in white, red, black or grey and should be a

sensible size.

No extreme hair styles are allowed; for example, ‘tram lines’, lower than clipper grade 2,

Mohicans, coloured hair (unless for a special event e.g. Comic Relief or World Book Day),

excessive braiding and other similar styles not suitable for school.

 

            Reception children should also have a named pair of wellies in school.
