St George's CE

Data Privacy and Information Access

St George's CE Primary School is committed to full compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) effective 25th May 2018, and the wider requirements around access to information and data expected by public bodies by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Data Privacy Notice - how we use pupil information

Our Data Privacy Notice describes the categories of information we collect, hold, process and share, and the reasons we do this.  The Lawful Basis on which we do this is commonly referred to as the 'Public Task', described under Section 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulations.  This means we have a statutory duty under law to collect certain information, and to provide that to others - in particular to Dorset County Council and the Department for Education.  Please click the link here to access our Data Privacy Notice, or open it from the document list below.

Publication Scheme

The School has adopted, in whole and unaltered as required by the ICO, the ICO's Model Publication Scheme for public bodies.  This can be accessed by clicking on this link, or by clicking on the document link below.

The Publication Scheme highlights the range and categories of information that public bodies are required to make available.  The School endeavours to publish all required statutory information through this website, but members of the public can make a Freedom of Information request in writing for information they have not been able to locate.  The school is permitted to make a reasonable charge for the provision of some information, and if a charge is to be made, confirmation of payment due will be made before the information is provided.
